Damp & condensation problem due to excessive rain!
Afternoon my first post so hello everyone.
I'm hoping for some advice on curing damp/condensation ingress to my property. I have lived here for 6 years now and it's only happened this winter due to the excessive amount of rain we're having.
You can just feel the moisture in the air. We wake up to water running down the walls and condensation on the windows and it's never been anywhere near this bad before.
Thanks.

Hi Dillon and welcome to the community!
Firstly is the property 10 years or older? if not then contact your builder as you should still have some sort of building warranty left on the property.
I assume you mean moisture and not a water leak from the guttering or roof? That should be your first port of call.
The problem is to seal the walls you really need a dry spell so everything dries out and you do not trap the water within the walls but since that seems somewhat impossible at the moment it's probably best to run a dehumidifier inside to collect the moisture. If you don't have one then it's best to have a decent look around as if you buy cheap you will end up using a lot of electricity!
To seal the walls I used a solution of PVA Glue (believe it's called cola blanca in Spain) and water it down 1 part PVA Glue to 4-5 parts water. You want a consistency that is not water like but thick enough to be able to brush onto the exterior of your walls.
Once it is dried you can then go over the wall with a water proofer such as pintura Jafep antihumedad which comes in clear or white. which should repel the rain.
I've used this method in both the UK and Spain and it seems to be doing the trick but I must stress I am NOT a builder or anything like that I just took the advice of one of the members of staff in a DIY store.
