Villa has sky install can I take my sky card and plug in?

The place I will be renting next month is advertised that it has a fully installed sky system but missing a viewing card.

Could I just take my sky card and use that?

Hi,

ANY sky card will work in ANY sky receiver.....you will be able to receive the 6 "entertainment" mixes OK.

however, for Sky Sports and SKy Movie channels the Sky card has to be in the "home" sky receiver.

If you want to view Sky Sports and Sky Movie channels then you will need to contact Sky and get your card "paired" to the receiver.

A sky card activated for Sky+ in another receiver will also will receive the 6 "entertainment" mixes OK. It will also activate the Sky+ recording functions for FREE TV Channels only - not sky subscriptin channels. To Sky+ the sky subscriptin channels again you need to contact Sky to get the card "paired" to the receiver.

Dont forget that you dont need a card for BBC, ITV, C4 as these are broadcast free and unencrypyted.
