It was actually a Mecedes 450SEL with a dubbed 275GTB track both vehicles owned by the authour Claude Lelouch.
Didn't want to say anything as it kinda ruined it for me when I found out! oh well!

I am sure that there was a big debate on the net about this when it went online, and it turned out that the Ferrari soundtrack (may have even been a Lambo, can't remember) was added after the film was shot, and that the camera was actually mounted below the bumper of a Citroen DS, and the film subsequently speeded up. Supposedly, if you study the film hard enough and if possible slow it down, the clues are there!Originally Posted by Gerry
