You are horrible!!!
Ok so this morning I took my Mum to the airport and left my little boy with a friend. When I came back she said "have you seen that mole on Sam?" So I turned him over and there was this ugly little critters body sticking out of Sams tummy!
So I scooped him up screamed "vets now" and jumped in the car! When I got to the vets I ran in screaming "my little boys got a tic"........the receptionist and this other person waiting to see the vet with her dog looked at me, looked at each other and burst out laughing! The receptionist had to pop into the vet so this customer just got hold of the tic and pulled it out, needless to say I was squirming and in bits but I thought these were dangerous little critters and could harm my boy so that's why I panicked!
Anyway I have since been next door to the doggy hairdressers and he is booked in for a full body shave on Thursday.......if owt is gonna bury its filthy little head in my boy then I want to see it immediately!![]()
They´re easy to remove Sammy. Either get a tick remover from your vet or a pair of tweezers but you must remember to twist as you are pulling because you don´t want to leave the head in. I´ve done it loads of times and, although it´s not very pleasant, it´s instantaneous. The other thing is spread it with Vaseline so it can´t breath then they drop off. I prefer the tic remover because you can be more precise. And don´t forget to stamp on the bugger so you know it´s dead.
Yes, they can harm they cause Lyme Disease. Google for more info.
Glad he´s OK though.
