I have just been stopped on the street by a Swedish lady who has a Maltese terrier and she wants to breed her with my little boy!
Now I am dead against breeding dogs because I think there are too many poor dogs that need homes without adding more dogs to the world. Also Sam has epilepsy and I am not sure if that gets carried down in the genes. But the thought of more little Sam's running around (and she said I could have one) is making me think about breeding him.
What should I do guys?
Lifes to short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget the ones who dont. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it!
Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain
People who dont know me think that i'm quiet but the people who do wish i was
Maybe you should check it out with the vets first Sammy you don't want the little chap to become fitful whilst he is doing the deed and as you say is it could be some thing that can be passed down I'm not sure if that sort of illness would affect the pedigree and make the breeding line invalid. After all what he aint had he won't miss![]()
When I was young we used to breed Staffordshire Bull Terriers, this was when they were still quiet rare to see and I can't say it's fun but it's a great experience.
We had the female and since you have the male the female owner normally pays you or gives you one of the puppies at least that's how it's done in the UK.
My brothers missus mother breeds miniature poodles and makes a blooming fortune out of it!
The only thing I could find on Google is this:
