Car autosocks for driving in Snow & Ice

I have tested these new (to me) "Autosocks" out and thought since the weather in a lot of areas in Spain has been just as bad as the UK I'd mention them here.

I was quite sceptical at first about them but thought I'd give them a go as I saw some Ambulances using them!

They're basically socks that go on the 2 wheels (front if front wheel drive and rear if rear wheel drive) and it helps your car keep traction and yes it really does work!

As far as I can tell they're not meant to be left on permanently but from what I've seen I can't see any reason not to leave them on for a few weeks doing small trips around town, not sure if you can use them on a motorway or not!

So I thought I'd say something as it may help some of you who live in more rural areas or local roads which have not been salted.

Wish we'd have known about them before - our Pauls wiped his car out this morning going through a wall n down a 4/5 foot drop into a carpark - luckily the carpark was empty

Not really - physically he is ok apart from a very sore neck - he will probably feel much worse in the morning though - but hes putting himself through it - hes totally gutted - its so hard seeing ya kids upset i burst into tears this morning n made a tit of myself at school again - car is going into Ford in the morning to be assessed n get a quote so we should more then - we've no money - hes no money but somehow we are gonna see if we can get it done without having to go through the insurance - just had a quick word with our Lee about the damage we can see n he thinks it will be about 2 1/2 thousand at least - oh joy - but we are just guessing tbh n aint got a clue - was hoping D was gonna be around but hey ho

Sam, as long as he is alright, it's ok. It's just a car. I know it don't help, but it could have been a lot worse. Hope his neck isn't too bad tomorrow.
